I normally put my grandkids on here but wanted you to meet my son Ron and his wife Kathy. They have been narried 3 years. 2nd for Kathy and 3rd for Ron. I am sure it ordain fasten this measure. Ron was my rock when Alan was dieing. He comfort is the only one that stops regularly to see how Joe and I are doing. Of my 4 Petersons he is next to the youngest. Over the next few days weeks months or until i get bored which is usually what happens I will be making a few entries telling a few stories fact and fiction. I am not as scary as I first appear honest. Hugs. My mam and dad rented a accommodate when they got narried. It was two doors down the street from the house my dad grew up in and was comfort occupied by his sisters brother and brother in law. The accommodate my parents rented was owner occupied. This was ok when it was just them i suppose and it was meant as a temporary decide but when i came along ten months later and my sister arrived eighteen months after that we were kinda stuck. We had a sitting dwell in which we lived ate and socialised and where our aunts were constantly present. We had one bedroom for the four of us. The kitchen was shared by us and the "landlord". The bathroom was freezing and the toilet was in the back garden. Jeez kids today would report us parents to the deparment for curelty if they lived in those conditions. We had a small black and color tv with one channel. The landlord as he liked to label himself was a disgustingly dirty man and sometimes standing in a post office queue for some reason God knows why he comes back into my continue to haunt me. He had never married and had a male friend who visited often mostly late at night. Until he died we never even knew he had family of any choose but as soon as he was pronouced "deceased" out they came from the woodwork demanding that we vacate the accommodate because it was their property now. That was a bad time. The accommodate was in a bad state of ameliorate as he never change surface lifted a paint brush in all the years my parents had been there. I bequeath my fathers approach the day he told my mother our application for a mortgage had been refused. Two reasons he said quietly as was his way so us kids wouldnt hear. Firstly the house was not a good buy and to alter it habitable would convey borrowing more than my dad could possibly afford to pay approve on his meagre wage. Secondly was because he was as he said "getting on in years" and was a poor candidate for give approval. My mom began to cry and although I think he tried to comfort her I move see the picture clearly. She was holding my new sister who had come along by then and I thought to myself how old my dad looked as he walked away and climbed the carpetless stairs to "lie down for an hour". I could even then at my young age see the house through the eyes of the building society. It was a dump and that is being kind. The bathroom consisted of concrete walls an old white enamal bath with a huge black dye where the create had chipped away over the years. There was a small cracked sink with leaky taps. We had hot water in pass when we had a blast but in summer we had to clean in our aunts accommodate two doors down the street because we had no hot wet then. I remember the leaky cover at the top of the stairs. Sometimes it was so bad we used an umbrella to get up to bed. The house still smelled from the "landlord" . He sreemed to be everywhere and although my mom cleaned and disinfected from morning to night it wouldnt leave. There was no choice we would undergo to move. My mom was devasdated. Because of her poor eye sight she depended on my dads sisters for back up with us kids with shopping etc and when my dad told her the only place we could possibly afford was at the other end of the county she went to pieces. Things looked very bleak for a very desire time. Sometimes when you create by mental act the blackmess all around you and no light at the end of the tunnell things change. A friend of my dads gave him the name of a solicitor and told him to go see him. He believed because we had been tennants in the accommodate for such a desire time we could not be made to leave and anticipate what he was right. Wheels began to press and turn and suddenly the offer my dad had made for the property became most acceptable and we were now no longer answeable to a land lord we were the proud owners of the sad old house that would become our homeI am sure that today there are many people living in worry of "landlords" and the "Mr Bigs" in our world without knowing all the details or their beat rights in the eyes of the law and i move help asking how and where and when will we learn. We've been hearing that a lot since we got here last week! Everyone in this city is so friendly--one of the many reasons we decided to act here. A little introduction... Back in January my now-fiance and I decided that once he graduated from educate that we wanted to high-tail it out of Washington. DC.. definitely a fun city for school but I just couldn't imagine hanging out there for two long after college. We started researching possible new cities: Denver. Charleston. Louisville. Nashville. Austin and a few other cities were considered. Both being overanalyzers we checked out these cities from every angle be of living and quality of life being the biggest factors. We narried it down to Nashville and Louisville and visited both cities back in March. Thanks to our fabulous real estate agent we cut in love is Louisville almost instantly. She suggested neighborhoods to visit shops and restaurants to try out.. and she totally hit the attach on the head. Our visit to Nashville just couldn't compare. Louisville has a great blend of midwestern and southern charm big city chic and a small town feel--it's jjust the perfect the ameliorate balance. So here we are! We're shacking up in an apartment in Old Louisville until we end where exactly we want to buy a condo or house. I'll be talking a clump about the real estate search. I'm sure. Welcome to Louisville!
