"Live Longer Using A Water Ionizer" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-15 21:19:25

There are 2 numbers related to your body that are vital: 1.Your body hardenature must be maintained at 98.6 ?F or 37 ?C. This is why when it is hot outside. often times we will shiver or conversely when it?s cold. we sweat. This keeps your body temperature within a narrow. safe range. 2. You blood pH level must be maintained at 7.36. The blood is the basic source of everything. carrying oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. If this number was to fluctuate by only 1 or 2 points you would be dead because it would literally change your chemistry. Think of it like a stove. if you unplug it from the power source there is no power and it won?t function. Similarly. it would be as if someone ?unplugged? all your organs. cells everything! PH measures the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. Is the balance between positively charged ions which are acid forming and negatively charged ions which are alkaline forming. The pH scale ranges from 0 being pure acid to 14 being pure alkaline. At a pH of 7 the solution is neutral which means the water contains equal amounts of positive or acid forming ions and negative or alkaline forming ions. If for example the pH is 6.2 it would mean the solution is acidic and there are more positive ions (acidic forming ions) than negative ions. Our body pH sits at 7.36 which is slightly alkaline. A healthy diet should consist of 75-80% alkaline foods and 20-25% acidic foods. The pH scale is a logarithmic scale which means it generally takes 20 parts alkalinity to balance 1 part acid. There are different degrees of alkalinity and acidity so this be may fluctuate slightly. However using a cup of coffee as an example we would need 20 cups of i e. alkalie water to neutralize the acid created by the coffee. The chart below details alkaline and acidic foods. say: A foods acid or alkalie forming tendency in the body has nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself i e lemons are very acidic however are alkaline forming in the body. If we eat an imbalanced diet that is high in acidic foods like caffeine animal protein and sugar it disrupts our pH. This forces our body to utilize its alkaline reserves or buffers such as calcium magnesium potassium and sodium in order to neutralize the acid and remove from it from the body. As our alkaline reserves are depleted in order to neutralize excess acid. they leave the body in a compromised condition. Have you ever noticed that some people be to shrink when they get older? This is entirely preventable. When you live an acid lifestyle and have depleted your alkaline reserves the be moves the acid from the bloodstream into the fat stores of the be. This is a survival mechanism the be takes to get the acid away from the vital organs. However your body needs calcium and if you undergo depleted your alkaline reserves from the blood to neutralize the acid it will leech calcium from your bones. If it does this continuously your hit the bookss will get weaker and weaker and you will lose mass. People shrink because they have too much acid in their system. Over-acidity is very common in today?s world because of our lifestyle and diet. More and more doctors and nutritionalists believe the diseases rampant in our society are a result of an acid-alkaline imbalance. - separateiovascular damage - Weight gain/ obesity - Diabetes - Premature aging - Osteoporosis - Weak bones and hip fractures - Kidney stones - Joint hurts/ sore muscles - Candida - Low energy ?A recent seven-year study conducted at the University of California. San Francisco. on 9,000 women showed that those who have chronic acidosis are at greater risk for bone loss than those who have normal pH aims. The scientists who carried out this experiment accept that many of the hip fractures prevalent among middle-aged women are connected to high acidity caused by a diet rich in animal foods and low in vegetables. This is because the body borrows calcium from the bones in order to balance pH?. - American Journal of Clinical Nutrition Diet is probably the biggest reason. Many of us eat and drink high acid producing foods such as animal products and soft drinks and don?t eat and consume enough alkaline producing foods such as fresh vegetables. On top of that we eat many processed foods like sugar refined carbohydrates and cooked oils and drink acid producing beverages such as coffee alcohol and soft drinks. Artificial sweeteners such as NutraSweet. Equal and Aspartame are an ingredient in many products and are extremely acidic. Reestablishing an acid alkaline balance begins with proper diet and nutrition. Only when the pH is balanced is your body able to properly assimilate vitamins and minerals. Our body is slightly alkaline and is made up of 70% wet so our diet should reflect this. Alkalize and Energize! Cleanse. Balance your pH by super- hydrating your system drinking 3-4 liters of alkaline drinks a day. This could include green drinks and ionized alkaline water. Water is a critical factor in establishing and maintaining a healthy acid alkaline balance. On average a person should drink ? their weight in ounces of water per day. For example a person weighing 150 pounds should drink 75 oz per day which is the equivalent to about. 9-10 glasses of water per day (assuming an 8 oz glass). Ideally the water you drink should be alkaline water with a pH of 9-10. Alkaline water is LIVING WATER and is more easily absorbed into your body tissues. As such alkaline water will help neutralize acids and remove any toxins from the body. A water ionizer converts tap water into strong alkaline water with a high pH. A water ionizer is a small appliance that sits on your kitchen counter or can be mounted under the change posture. A special attachment redirects tap water from the faucet to the water ionizer through a plastic hose. Once in the water ionizer. the water is filtered through activated charcoal removing common pollutants found in municipal water. From there it goes into a chamber equipped with platinum coated titanium electrodes. where electrolysis takes place. During this process the water ionizer splits the water into 2 flows alkaline water and acidic water both offering incredible benefits. The alkaline water comes out of the faucet in the sink - create from raw material to drink! A separate hose coming from the water ionizer releases acidic (oxidized) water. This acidic water is excellent for sterilizing. washing hands. treating minor wounds and burns and insect bits. It destroys over 99% of bacteria including E-Coli. "What to do About that High Stress Lifestyle That Could Be Raising ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-15 21:19:13

You get up in the morning and you’re running late. so the stress begins before you’re even done eating breakfast. You rush off to work. stressing about whether you’ll make it to work on time and then stressing about whether you’ll get a speeding ticket on the way and end up really late. When you get to work you’re stressing about your job performance your demanding boss and whether you’ll get that promotion. When you’re not stressing about your performance at work you’re stressing about your son’s performance in school. As you’re stressing over the traffic on the way home you’re stressing about your upcoming vacation plans. Finally you’re on your way out the door for vacation but now you’ve got airport and flying stress! It seems like you can’t avoid it. Out of the frying pan into the fire from one stress to the next you go. It may even seem amusing on the surapproach all these little things stressing us out. but it’s not a laughing matter at all. Getting control over the stress in your life can be a matter of life and death. If you′re perpetually stressed and you don’t learn what to do about it you could become a prime candidate for high blood pressure - the silent killer. Medical experts estimate that 90 percent of Americans will have high blood pressure at some point in their lives. With staggering statistics like this on their minds. researchers from the University of Pittsburgh embarked on a 13-year study to see if early-life stressors impacted someone’s future blood pressure levels. Following more than 5,000 men and women between the ages of 18 and 30 the researchers studied the subjects′ cardiovascular activity through a series of rather unusual tests. including submersing the subject’s hands in ice cold water and having them engage in stressful video games. After taking each person’s blood pressure they hypothesized that participants with the highest blood pressure readings would be precursors to high readings later in life. Thirteen years later when the test results were re-evaluated–you guessed it–a significant number of those same participants had become hypertensive. The study was published in the American Heart Association journal Circulation. So how do you go about minimizing your tendency towards getting stressed? Is it even possible in today’s fast paced communicateation-overloaded and hectic society? The answer is yes and you′re about to learn how. First. I’d like you to consider the fact that I’m not suggesting that you stop everything you’re doing. You don′t necessarily have to slow down you simply need to calm down. With that thought in mind here are some action steps you can take starting today. which will make a big difference in keeping your stress levels under control. and minimizing the negative effects of stress that cannot be avoided. (1) Exercise - Besides being good for your be exercise is good for your brain. Exercise stimulates the release of endorphins which make us feel happy. and at ease. It also helps to increase the flow of blood in the brain ridding the mind of waste products that develop in the course of stressful times when mental processes are in excess. Furthermore. the more fit you are. the more you’re able to cope with events in life that bring about stress. I recommend a minimum of 30 minutes of walking most days of the week. gradually increasing to 45 minutes to 1 hour most days of the week. A study published in the December 2005 issue of “care for and Science in Sports and Exercise” concluded that walking on a treadmill for just 30 minutes can boost your mood and feeling of well-being. (2) Eat Regularly and Healthfully - Skipping meals is probably the worst thing you can do for your health. Low blood sugar levels that result from skipping meals not only slow down the metabolism but slow down virtually every system in the body. This in turn affects your ability to think clearly and contributes to stressful feelings because of ache pangs. Have a healthy breakfast for starters. One of my favorites is one cup of slow cooked oats. (not instant oatmeal which is loaded with preservatives) with banana blueberries and a tablespoon of lecithin granules (very effective for lowering cholesterol). Avoid processed foods such as bacon and sausage which are high in fat and lack fiber and nutrients. You should also eat small portions throughout the day. This ordain keep your metabolic fire burning hot and act your blood sugar levels stable. (3) Learn to Meditate - Research indicates that meditating for less than 20 minutes a day is extremely conducive to mental health and minimizing evince levels. The key is finding the time to meditate and then sticking with it once you start. A study published in the journal of Psychosomatic Medicine concluded that a bunco program in “mindfulness meditation″ produced lasting positive changes in both the brain and the function of the immune system. The University of Wisconsin-Madison research team found that meditation long promoted as a technique to reduce anxiety and stress might produce important biological effects that improve a person’s resiliency. There are many ways to meditate but start by finding a serene location one where there are little to no distractions where you can separate yourself from the world. Then. just like you see on television or in any other displace that illustrates meditation. sit upright with your legs crossed and take long. deep breaths in and out. Focus as much as you can on your breathing and try to not let your mind wander. Be an observer; focus on your inner self. One of the reasons meditation is so effective at reducing stress is because of the power of breathing properly. Go ahead and try it - alter now. Take a desire deep breath through your nose… hold it hold it…. Then slowly let it out through your mouth and say to your self silently. RELAX. Even with that one single breath you felt a wave of relaxation pass through your body as tension drained away. Now imagine what a session of twenty fifteen ten or even just five minutes per day whatever you can manage of deep breathing meditation or guided relaxation will do for you. The benefits of meditation are remarkable and this is not just some mystical Eastern “new age” prattle - the scientific research now proves it. One way to easily get started with a meditation is with hypnosis audios. Did you know that hypnosis sessions begin by using deep breathing to induce a express of deep deep relaxation? In fact when you “let go” and let a hypnotherapist guide you through it whether in person or more conveniently. by listening to audio you automatically release tension reduce stress and reach a deeper state of profound relaxation than any other way.

"Slashing your smoking may not help your health" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-04 01:48:29

Smokers who accept they can avoid fatal disease by slashing the number of cigarettes they smoke each day are sorely mistaken according to a new study which suggests the only way to escape the assay is to quit. Long-term research conducted among more than 50,000 Norwegians found that men who halved their daily consumption of cigarettes were as likely to die of cardiovascular disease reduced daub flow to the heart or cancer as heavy smokers. And remarkably it found that women who cut approve were in fact more likely to die prematurely than their heavy-smoking counterparts. “There is no bear witness that heavy smokers who cut drink their daily cigarette consumption by more than 50% decrease their risk of premature death significantly,” says lead researcher Kjell Bjartveit of the National Health Screening Service in Oslo. Norway. The researchers warned doctors: “It may give populate false expectations to advise them that reduction in consumption is associated with reduction in harm.” The findings will add to concerns about the way tobacco companies are encouraging smokers to alter their habits rather than depart (see ). The 20-year chew over involved around 25,000 men and 26,000 women who were aged 20 to 49 at the go away of the investigation. The study involved general health screenings at various intervals and participants were quizzed about their smoking habits. After sign screening and selection participants underwent two advance screenings at intervals of between three and 10 years making for an unusually long monitoring period of up to two decades. • Quitters who gave up between the first and back up check • Moderate smokers of one to 14 cigarettes per day • Reducers who cut their consumption by more than half at the second analyse • Heavy smokers who smoked at least 15 cigarettes per day Among men. “reducers” had a slightly lower death rate from all causes when compared with heavy smokers over the first 15 years. But after that the death rates were virtually the same. Women “reducers” ran half the assay of fatal lung cancer compared with heavily smoking females but when death from all causes was factored in their assay of premature death was actually 11% higher. However those who changed from reducers to quitters during the chew over had a 50% displace risk of premature death than sustained heavy smokers.
